This Privacy Policy explains how the KeyRank Chrome extension (“KeyRank”, “the Extension”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information while providing keyword rank-checking functionality.
1. Information Processed by the Extension
KeyRank processes only the information required to perform the actions requested by the user, including:
- Domain names entered by the user
- Keywords entered or imported by the user
- Google Search result content required to determine keyword rankings
- Excel files selected by the user for importing domains and keywords
This information is used only to perform keyword ranking checks and display or export the resulting data.
2. Personal Data Collection
KeyRank does not intentionally collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, passwords, financial information, health information, or authentication credentials.
3. Website Access
KeyRank requests access to Google Search pages at https://www.google.com/*. This access is used only when the user starts a keyword ranking check.
The Extension analyzes Google Search result pages to identify the ranking position of a domain provided by the user. It does not use this access for advertising, behavioral profiling, or unrelated browsing activity.
4. Chrome Permissions
KeyRank may use the following Chrome permissions:
- Tabs: Used to create, access, update, or close Google Search tabs required for ranking checks initiated by the user.
- Scripting: Used to run packaged extension scripts on supported Google Search pages and extract ranking information.
- Host permission: Used to access Google Search pages required for the Extension’s core functionality.
5. Data Storage
KeyRank does not maintain a remote database of users or their search activity. Information entered into the Extension and generated ranking results are processed for the requested task.
Exported files are saved only when the user chooses to download them. Imported Excel files are processed only for the purpose of loading the domains and keywords contained in those files.
6. Data Sharing and Sale
KeyRank does not sell, rent, trade, or share user data with third parties. Information processed by the Extension is not used for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or any purpose unrelated to keyword rank checking.
7. Remote Code
All executable JavaScript used by KeyRank is included in the Extension package. KeyRank does not download or execute remote JavaScript, WebAssembly, or dynamically evaluated remote code.
8. Incognito Mode
KeyRank can operate in incognito mode when the user explicitly enables incognito access for the Extension in Chrome. The Extension does not use incognito access to track browsing activity or collect personal data.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the Extension and limit data processing to what is necessary for its stated functionality.
10. Children’s Privacy
KeyRank is not designed to collect personal information from children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Extension’s functionality, permissions, or legal requirements change. Any update will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
